They routinely wander the Resort and WDI campus like that with the nametag pierced through the cord of their lanyard and just sort of dangling there. It is also not uncommon for WDI folks to remove the lanyard while in meetings, going to the Eat Ticket, or while working and so they have no nametag visible at all. It's entirely understandable to not wear a lanyard or nametag for artists and craftsmen who are elbow deep in art supplies, scenery props, and animatronic limbs. But even the white collar Imagineers who work in offices don't do the nametag thing at all. For Steve Davison or any other Imagineer to appear before a camera with a nametag clipped to their shirt on the upper left hand side is telling you they really thought about looking "corporate" for the public. They honestly think they are playing along when they do that for media events. And the goat just isn't working for Steve Davison. Sorry bro.

Who says that creative types must look like slobs when they stand in front of the public in order to be credible? Frankly I think the pedestrian appearance of these people and their arrogance sort of go hand in hand with their incredible lack of creative ideas.
