If they built a high capacity attraction with "family friendly" speeds (that means, bringing the toddlers, elderly, and not physically fit for thrills, onboard) ... just as the Peoplemover did, then I'd have a hard time arguing "more Star Wars" wouldn't I?

But if they do what we think they'll do, according to the rumors - It will be Rocket Rods 2.0 - Fast speeds. It's going to rule out lots of people. And the capacity is going to suck.

They could do a simulated fast speed using a hyperloop "technology". There are so many indoor tunnels on the PM track. You can do "Superspeed Tunnels 10.0". The re-entry finalie on Space Mt is a basic example of how it can be done on the indoor sections.
The outdoor sections can go at a leisurely pace to keep it family friendly.
It doesn't have to be selfpowered. You can use roller coaster technology. Overlay the PM track with roller coaster tracks and have it's own support. The PM track would be non-structural to the actual track in critical locations. Should be cheap to build too.

Yes, which is why I asked the question. To me it seems like you're often too quick to rule out SW without considering the possibilities.
