I'm being really good about avoiding it all, but I can already feel myself giving into temptation. Have to keep it up til September... I for one hope they don't change it up (much, at least) for Halloween / Christmas. I always travel between September and January and I would hate to end up with "HMH Syndrome", where I never get to see the original because of the timing of my visits.

Send me an email and let me know how/what you are doing. I have the same email I have had for quite a while. (The earthlink account.) B.T.W. - Did you know they closed Brooks Bros downtown? Kind of sad, it's just sitting there empty. Back on topic - I think you will like to love the show. I haven't seen it yet in person but I'm impatient and have seen several full length videos and have really enjoyed it. I can only imagine I will only like it that much better in person! Will see it on the 26th (in hopefully a good spot - have Tratoria reservations). Hope to hear from you!

Even though something is from our current pop culture, it doesn't necessarily have to have a "modern" feel to it. Somethings just seem to have the classic feel to them that turn them into instant classics. Know what I mean? Cause I'm not sure that I do.

Because of a couple of extended sequences from newer movies, many have said it ignores Disney's older properties. And the fact that Alice was heavily promoted, then cut, reinforces the idea. But the mix is really pretty good, with a definite edge toward newer films. The audio performance is overall quite lush and orchestral. There is definitely a "pop song" sound for the opening and closing theme, but of the "epic" variety. Within the show, all the music is newly recorded with full orchestra. And it is heard to best advantage in the outdoor setting of Paradise Pier.
