Wrong. Bambi. Dumbo. Snow White. Cinderella. Fantasia. The extended sequences are mostly the newer films, but WOC references The Old Mill, for crying out loud.

    I know sorry. I made myself seem unintelligent there didn't I? >_>
As far as I can remember I thought I read a post saying there was barely enough old Disney era sequences. So I summed it up in my little comment then later I did a WOC search on wikipedia and when I saw the list of show sequences I literally facepalmed myself.
1990s?? Little Mermaid is from the 80s for the love of Pete! What was I thinking?

Yeah...My post was a bit...biased? Is that the word?

Basically I didn't do ANY research or read spoilers before I wrote that post.

Oh, whatever. I guess it's not that big of a deal.

I wonder if DL crowds are starting to swarm into DCA at night for show viewings nowadays...

ANd then Monday night on the 5th everybody went to WOC...but not Glowfest. So the first night I was in yellow section the second night blue and the third night red. Did not like red because we were almost under the Golden Zephyr and the wind ruined virtually every detail. It was water mist color sound. People were actually leaving and everybody was complaining and saying "F" was better...

You get 2 songs from Little Mermaid but NONE of the Classic Disney songs from the "real" Disney classics. No "I'm Wishing", "Dreams Are A Wish The Heart Makes", "When You Wish Upon A Star", etc. You just get a few shots from the Golden Age of Disney Animation and a LOT of PIXAR. When Zerg gets more face time than Snow and Cindy there is room for some complaints. I myself am not complaining because I have already had enough of the Princesses, it is just I see where the complaints are coming from. I think they could have included the early stuff without necessarily using the "Someday My Prince Will Come" stuff. Like, I think the Dwarves' Yodel Song would work really well in the show. But all and all I think with the tech of the show and the catalog of Disney music they really could have used just about anything and still have a spectacular show.

However, I do agree that there is a lot of focus on newer films. There is a lot of representation of older ones, but they are just there for a few seconds as part of larger montages, while the newer films seem to have entire segments devoted to them. I would guess that there are more pre-Mermaid films in the show than post-Mermaid, but the average time spent on each of the older ones is so small that they are basically throw-aways.

I do enjoy that they went with less familiar bits of music and characters, but there is something timeless that seems to be missing from the show. The classic moments are all very strong, while many of the weaker moments are from more recent films. If they managed to distribute the length of the segments and their quality between the eras more, I think I would like the show even more that I already do.
