My Father had been a truck driver and later the manager of a trucking company. Every other word out of his mouth at work started with an F and ended with a K and it wasn't Firetruck. Yet, I never, ever heard him say it when he was with woman or young children, never. It's a matter of class and a degree of self respect. If the only words one can find to use as ammunition are curse words, then something must be lacking in the vocabulary department. That's true especially since it no longer impresses or even shocks people anymore...it's time to find something new. It may make me uncomfortable, but it doesn't shock or impress me that someone knows a four letter word. It's pretty low road behavior in my mind. I use it from time to time and still wonder why. I've said it before, many times, humans are a strange species.
