Maybe there was a big rally somewhere last Friday? When they have big organized rallies (like the ones they've had in Century City and Hollywood), I believe they pull the strikers from other locations. Or maybe it really was just the rain. /cs

We've been amazingly fortunate in that the weather has cooperated and been just about perfect for every scheduled day of picketing. That streak may break on Thursday, but we are not picketing on what's forecast to be another rainy Friday. Today it was beautiful and in the 80's. I don't think the New Yorkers are quite that lucky. Although I am amused by the people who keep trying to lob the wimp label at the picketing writers. Well, yeah. Obviously it's not really the same make up of people as a dock strike. I doubt you see pregnant woman and 80 year olds on the docks too much. When nurses or teachers go on strike it's different too. But for a bunch of typically solitary, sedentary people I think we're doing alright.
