If you can't recognize that, you really are in Fanboi heaven...

Whether or not something "real" happens during the ride is up to your interpretation, but the queue and the gift shops are movie sets. <<Yeah...because the look of Star Trous matches the Jules Verneian look of DL's and DLP's TL perfectly, right?>> Buzz does too, right? Who gives a crap. It's a good attraction, and fits in Tomorrowland. And from every picture I've seen of the ride buildings exterior, it fits fine.

Originally Posted By HokieSkipper <<the queue is not the endor forest - ? really ?>> Nope. It's a set. The trees are all movie facades with the lighting exposed behind them. And even if it was...that would bring up another crazy question: If we're on Endor, why the hell are we going on a Starspeeder to Endor? Haha

In ours, yes...The outside and styling of the ride and story fits somewhat into our TL. My only problem with it is that it's a franchise.

It's a VERY subtle change, but one ***I***, the Studios "hater" knows about. It's there, it makes sense, Indy could do the same thing, and be just as good.

That since the incident happened in 1939, obviously we have to be in 1939? You're talking yourself in circles here, EE. <<So? I'd rather keep the stunt show if that's the case. <<In DL, no.>> Go look at pictures from DL's Tomorrowland and the outside of their Star Tours ride and show me how it doesn't fit. Because seriously...I'm just not seeing it.

No, Indy would be no where near as good as it is in DL and Adventureland. I find it odd that no matter how may people tell you this you still haven't caught on...haha.

MK attractions tended to be more sincere in their commitment to their illusions, whereas MGM was largely about revealing how the illusion worked (think Indy, Monster Sound Show, even Star Tours where you can see the simulator cabin before you board). TOT seems to have taken a more MK-style approach, in that it doesn't attempt to reveal the illusions and "plays it straight." The adventure is "real," not something taking place on a soundstage. I guess MGM's original postmodern playfulness is charming or off-putting, depending on your love of MK-style attractions. For me, I feel the same way that Hokie does: I like the commitment to illusion that you get with IJA at DL. But then again I also take pictures of Disney urinals.

In fact, it would have to. It would just need one more layer tacked on to it's front so you can transition from Studio to Jungle.
