I don't know know how anyone puts FOX (or MSNBC) on par with the old three network news divisions. Everything on FOX is filtered thru a prism of 'would someone with a brain believe this'? If the answer is 'no', then it's good for air. Hyperbole. But not by very much. I get more accurate world news by watching BBC and CCTV (great to see it in the Disney Resorts now, btw) than any American network. Politics of any ilk have NO business in journalism.

Can't wait to experience it. Gotta wonder how Disney likes seeing all the press coverage this thing is getting. Even Craig Ferguson focused his monologue on it last night and then talked about it later. When's the last time WDW got this type of national/international attention? Sure wasn't Everest ... or the Happiest Homecoming additions. Hell, maybe it was DAK's opening. Also, as an aside, you can see how Disney really is giving up on legit media. After the WoC premiere, the next day Staggs gave his 'What's New. What's Next' at DLR presentation. Part of it was blowing his horn about the new show, so he ran a 90 second promo with people (mostly Disney's invited celeb guests) praising the show ... but when it came time to put up reviews in BIG QUOTES, Disney didn't go to legit media ... nope, first reiews were from fan sites (including this one, Mouseplanet, Deb Wills etc VERY prominently). Much later came a few REAL media orgs like LA Times and USA Today. But this is Disney's strategy. Co-opt the fans and fan sites and give up on hard media, especially media they don't control (vs. say Good Morning America). Wonder if I should posted this elsewhere, but I love to go stream of consciousness and hopefully it won't be lost ... and as I type this my local CBS affiliate is doing a report on WWoHP and how great it is. Disney ain't getting that coverage for their 1972 parade and they aren't gonna get it for Little Mermaid and new meet and greet and gropes either.

Now I also think that the 3 major networks lean left..not far left usually, but left as does most of the entertainment industry. so no surprise. I also agree on BBC news --what is amazing to me is there are things in the world going on never covered here while we spend 30 minutes each nite on sensationalism news...and even more sad is there are things going on in the US I only see on BBC news.

But people who spend just 2 out of 6 days at Universal are less likely to benefit from ME, MYW, DDP...and therefore less likely to stay on property. WDW has not had a problem filling its parks in a long time; filling its 20,000 hotel rooms is another story.

Probably in the form of guests taking a lesser number of days on their tickets. Long term, if Universal can do two or three more attractions or areas like HP and market themselves as a one stop destination better, they could have a bigger effect on Disney's business. And I say good for them. I have always enjoyed Universal and IOA as parks and have felt that they are underappreciated.

Now, that being said, alot of vacationers travel to WDW to experience that ambiance that, while not being as much present today, provides the certain "fell" or atmosphere that you can only find at WDW. and I think that's what guets truly crave
