Who knows what his motives are. But having your name out there in the public domain is a good thing. Especially in the entertainment business.

Especially if you're a fanboi. Yes I know all the draw backs nowdays, and I know it's just a business, but it's hard for me to be such a fan, and not want to be a part of it on the inside. Let's face it. When Disney is on it's game it's the best in the Industry. They are the Big Kahuna. They draw the crowds. Who could resist putting your work on display with the best in the business. Yes I know the argument now is they aren't the best anymore. That's true, but all it takes is a few dedicated people in the right posistions for that to turn around.

As far as the parks are concerned their business model of not maintaining parks in NOT helping their parks division. And as far as I'm concerned they spent far too much for Pixar and ultimately for an animation division after they got rid of their own. <They are the Big Kahuna.> Not anymore, people are staying home and playing online games. <They draw the crowds.> Universal Studios is doing that with HPL. Disney can only dream of tens of thousands of guests waiting in line at the gates. <but all it takes is a few dedicated people in the right positions for that to turn around>. I disagree, at least that's not WDC's problem. Disney is not keeping their parks fresh and new. As long as Disney parks division's business model is to keep cutting back and taking away from their parks they will continue to give guests more reasons to go elsewhere or stay home. They know that, I know that and you know that. I have family members that are not the least bit interested in visiting WDW this year as there is nothing new. Even after my most recent trip last October I knew I was good for a year. I used to buy an annual pass. Now I don't even do that. It's hardly worth it when I am visiting only once a year if that. And it's not just the parks. The merchandise is all the same, no unique tee shirts, resort mugs or anything. Talk about bland.

The board format is what kept/keeps me from posting over here more. I much prefer having the ability to edit and attach photos. I'm pretty sure there must me a hampster running on a wheel somewhere to keep these LP boards operating. Maybe if we took up a collection LP could invest in some modern boards.... >>but it is certainly sycophantic.<< Of course. When an Imagineer, current or former, comes down from on high to speak to the mere mortals on a Disney fan board, that's what you can expect. Imagine if it was somebody current like Baxter or Rohde....

WWoHP is a hit. Disney fans are in a very unusual position. I for one, love it. I'm happy for Universal. They are doing the things Disney used to do (and still live off of.)
