UNI is clearly trying in O-Town ... Potter is the biggest, best attraction to come to the state since ... Spidey ... Disney hasn't raised the bar since ToT really ... although some might say DAK's KS's did too (and I could argue that) ... point is those were 1990s. What is Disney trying to do? Put one over on fanbois addicted to pixie dust.<<< So....when do they do something right in WDW? What will make the change? Ordered my Coffee Table Book yesterday...

I really am anxious to see what Shanghai gets ... I picture more Disney and Pixar characters than anywhere along with Marvel characters (BLECH!!!) thrown in as well. It is practically a given that instead of a Tomorrowland/Discoverland concept, you'll see a Marvel Super Hero Land (think Disney's take on Super Hero Island at IOA with many of the same characters!) So ... if someone say had a great idea for say a thrill/adventure ride at DAK that didn't tie into anything, it would be next to impossible to get it built ... especially after EE.

He lies more than Eisner ever did. He is actively shopping ABC around, but releases statements to the contrary. Even after Zenia Mucha's assistant was arrested by the FBI for trying to make money off that info. The discounting lie has been a running theme for 18 months. yet, I keep seeing national ads for free dining yet again from August-October. And hotel discounts right through the end of the year. <<Hopefully WWoHP changes things up. >> He's too arrogant to even notice it. If Eisner were still at Disney, he'd have already ridden the thing.

Them realize that "Disney Theme Parks" is a franchsise in itself. Don't they get how marketable that level of quality and that level of storytelling is? There is so much they could donwith originality...and yet they take the easy way out with the Pirates, Princesses and Pixies. PP&P.

I saw lots of great improvements at CSR and ASS resorts a few weeks ago. I saw some kewl (no, not Marvel) new merchandise lines. I think showing the Music, Magic, Mayhem pyro (even with substantial cuts) this summer is a plus. Adding new dining locales at EPCOT is a positive. And yes, the F-lan expansion is too. It's just none of that is significant really. It's small-scale. Does it make a WDW vacation better? I'd say so. But does it give people (not pixie dust addicted fanbois) a real new reason to visit? No. Not at all. And when you see WWoHP ... wow, just what a polar opposite in approaches. UNI=cutting edge immersive substance Disney=marketing nostalgia <<Ordered my Coffee Table Book yesterday...>> That's nice of you. My B-Day is still a month plus away!

It is just a draining nightmare and I'm planning on hiding in bed for 10-11 hours very soon. <<Hope everything works out speedily and smoothly.>> I do too. Since what is going on is patently illegal, I have the law on my side (but who really follows the law in 21st century America?) ... I do believe things will be fine in the end, but if this drags on more than a week, it is going to cause major life issues.

I hope that Universal beats disney in attendance this year because it will teach disney to step it up more and they can't do what they've been doing recently. It will be a lesson they sorely need.

When you think about it, they are all great franchises, but, how do they fit into a "Magic Kingdom" is odd, to me. Of course, it works perfectly in DL, they've made sure of that, thematically, but the idea is odd. Pixar, however, does fit, Disney helped in the creation of the movies they launched. The rest? My initial reaction would be to put them not in DL/MK, but in a DHS park.
