Marvel isn't coming to MK. It's just not gonna happen.

Hell, it won't come to WDW anytime soon due to the Universal contract.

Yes, but in DISNEY's realm. DISNEY's stories. Put the 3rd party stuff in it's special place, like DHS, or even DCA. They have a Hollywood, too.

For DL however I have to give them the same break that Walt recognized. WDW is blessed with the bonus of size...DL is not. Unless they can bulldoze part of Anaheim and build a 3rd park-- you have to kinda ignore the intrusion of classic Disney fantasy.<<<<

    EXACTLY. Thank you. :)

And I think it would go well in DCA...They have a backlot, why not?

You don't understand the point we are making here, I think.

It fits ONLY because of the superb themeing and how it's tied into the land.

It's the 3rd party story itself that belongs in another land.

It's akin to taking Harry Potter and putting it in FL because the Fantasy fits. See what I mean? I sticks out like a sore thumb.

Not at ALL. Potter wouldn't fit in Fantasyland because it's a completely different feel. Potter is a much mroe realistic-style of Fantasy, whereas Fland is a cartoon Fantasy. It's the same reason why 20K felt out of place there.

Indy and Star Wars both compliment and adhere to the stylistic offerings of Adventureland and Tomorrowland perfectly. There's no leap in logic, style, or feeling.

    Is it Disney?

    Nope.

    Doesn't fit.

    Put it in the studios.

That's the way I think we are thinking of it, I think.

Adding 3rd party stories, to me, is like WDI admitting that they couldn't be creative enough to make their own story, and by borrowing/using those other creations, it cheapens the Disney brand. At least in a Disneyland/MK setting.

If they want to put it in the Studios, to give the Studios Park a wider range of characters, that's fine.

But Marvel in MK? Indy? Star Wars? WDI couldn't do something on their own?

That's how I feel with it...

Not really wdi's choice but rather how the park owners choose to market certain things. Believe me, wdi still has that creative spark that they've always had, i just don't believe they're given the creative freedom the used to be given

No, it's true. How do you explain the Buck Roger's/Sci Fi world...that suddenly has a realistic Sci Fi attraction sitting in it?

Look at Paris. Look at DL. It doesn't make sense.

You're seriously calling Star Wars....realistic? You do realize it is an homage to Buck Rodgers...right?

You know what I mean. Look at the MEANING of the parks..DL/MK is the home of the classic Disney storytelling and it's characters.

DCA/Studios only had DISNEY attached to it for marketing reasons. They, by nature, as a "studios" park, are more open to just DISNEY stories.

Now you know how I feel about IJA. Love IJA. But it doesn't match up with the whimsical feel of AdvL, the Tiki Room, JC, and in our case, PotC. It's the outlier.
