And Pirates is far from a whimsical ride anymore. The feel was changed in the 2006 refurb to a much mroe serious tone, as reflected by the new attraction sign and the loss of Peg Leg Pete. And really, once Tiki goes back to the way it should be, it would be the only "whimsical" ride in the area.

How does this even remotely fit tl? I never got that, never will. Go listen to tomorrowland on walt disney's tour of disneyland. That's what EE and I are looking for

It USED to be that way, before humor was introduced. Now, it's what you mentioned, but with humor. It's comical. It's tongue in cheek. Same with Pirates, if you wanna argue that the ride has changed because of the sign, and because we lost Pete. Yeah, it's one big daring adventure...where pirates still sing, there are still sight gags galore, and now Jack Sparrow ends the thing rolling in treasure. I don't think the mood was changed at all. In fact, it's made even more amusing. (That said, I do miss the days when PotC was just a ride.) Tiki, even in the deplorable show it runs today is still very much full of whimsy. Sorry Hokie...Not buying it. Just because you are an Indy Fanboi doesn't mean that it'll work as well as you thematically think.

We went over it for about an hour and a half during training. <<Same with Pirates, if you wanna argue that the ride has changed because of the sign, and because we lost Pete. I'm not arguing about that, because it comes straight from the mouths of WDI. <<Sorry Hokie...Not buying it. It's whimsy latched onto a serious topic...just like Pirates. >>> Nope, it's now supposed to be a "real" ride, where as before it was a "cartoon" experience. Again, it's tongue in cheek....You go through a Pirate battle...and then sing with them?! Only made the funnier that Jack is there singing and hiding with the rest of the crew. >>> EE, you gotta be freaking joking man. I don't have to THINK it'll work as well as I do. IN KNOW IT DOES. IT ALREADY EXISTS!<<<< Did you read any of our previous posts?! It works in DL because it has to. In WDW, it doesn't need to be a 3rd party story. It can be original. They can be creative. They don't have to rely on an existing storyline. And again, just because you love it so doesn't mean that it works or that it's Walt's gift to attractions.

You just won't let it.

Mystic Manor could be great, but we have no idea of knowing. Paris? What does it have? Tokyo...you must be talking about the IJA clone they have at Disney Sea!

Trust me...I know. Paris has an amazing Space Mountain built since IJA. Tokyo has an entire park, that's mostly original, also built IJA. To use Spirit's phrase...I think you have bulge for Indy!!!!!! ;-)

It's a homage to much more than just Buck Rodgers-- however Lucas created his own universe and set of characters, themes and worlds- they do not belong in another world unless it possibly is a movie studios. Just as I agree with previous statement on Potter- it is so all encomapassing the issue i have is it deserves it's own park- or certain it's own section of a park - FAR from other themes to get the full immersion. I would have preferred it be built in the UK actually - One last huge property out there is Lord of the Rings and Hobbit--- again I'd love to see Disney get them but I'd either like it's own gate or else a complete separate section of an DHS expansion...nothing else next to it
