Just blatant hucksterism ... like I said, I hope she washed real well when the Mouse got done with her.

Sure, she's more entertainer than journalist.

But she still has always had street cred as someone who isn't a corporate shill. To see her endorsing DVC on the parade made me cringe ...for her.

At least Macy's is still shown live ... I think.

Have been there often enough to know that much.

That was truly a LIVE parade broadcast. Disney should learn the old ways from that.

yep, but the 2 Star Wars floats were great ! --
Was it last year Disney had the ToT float or the year before ?

Only saw one of these live when we traveled there 10 - 11 years ago to watch my alma mater in the Rose Bowl....and the Rose Bowl Parade IMHO is the best parade anywhere...

I guess I don;t get excited over the Disney Christmas parade as I expect it to be a commercial. I know that's not right maybe..but I have it on more for 'background' as we are getting ready for church, than sitting down and studying the content...force of habit on Christmas on this I guess as I am not for giving them a pass on anything normally

That is pretty much my feeling about it, which is why I don't bother watching it.

HGTV did show the Rose Parade without commercial breaks.

I don't much care for the average parade, even a Disney parade (other than the nighttime light parades and the incredible Lion King parade at DL a few years ago), so I look forward to the promoting of the different stuff around the park. But I could do without Regis & Kelly - just a bit overexposed these days.
