mrkthompsn isn't one of them, though.

I'll cop to some of that too. Mostly I'm happy and relieved, because I really do think Obama will be much better for the country. But I admit to seeing particularly obnoxious people showing up on the TV (Trump, Limbaugh, Krauthammer, etc.) and just saying "You lose!" at them.

Yes, I'm talking to the TV. It's okay if you know you're doing it.

Aw, c'mon. As much as I don't trust organized Christianity as a whole (due to the rampant hypocrisy of things like pro-death penalty, anti-abortion people), I realize that just because something is mean and/or vindictive does not mean that a devout Christian is involved. Not all Christians are bad people, and we have some very fine ones among those of us here on LP.

And I enjoyed that I didn't pay for a damn thing all night from the first drink I had through dinner to the post-dinner drinks. :)

Initially, the bet was for a nice dinner "somewhere around the $100 range." Over time, I happily watched Rob change it again and AGAIN until about two weeks before the eletion when he said "no more than $$250-$300."

So, instead of oging for Trudy's, a local Tex-Mex joint that I adore where I'd have made it if the bet was $100, I went with what Rob had decided he wanted - Ruth's Chris. Tab in full at the restaurant was about $250 and then the drinks before and after were another $50 or so combined.

And, of course, y'all may recognize Rob's name since he is a VERY good friend of mine, so the company was killer, too. All in all, it was a great night Friday. Only way it could've been better would be if Rob was a guy I'd been dating! ;)
