The feel good stuff doesn't sell newspapers does it? Also, I am still wondering when I will get lucky enough to actually MEET my neighbors! *sigh* I quit holding my breath over it when I PASSED OUT! arg. ROFL jk jk jk Thanks for the post TDG, this part of Atlanta really IS a great place to live in spite of all the violent crime and bad publicity that goes on. LOL

Originally Posted By trailsend yes, we are, and in here you'll get our Georgia Southern hospitality, too! Yes mam, Publix is a great grocery store which is headquartered in Lakeland, Florida. Very neat, clean and organized. (Well, probably until V-diddy goes in, then they have to get all organized again) Winn-Dixie closed here in the South about 2 or 3 years ago. Ok, I'm clueless on the book. Did I miss something? Or are you being clever again? I can't keep up with you.

Because of Winn Dixie is a great little book by Kate DiCamillo. It's a kids book but I LOVE this book. I read to to DD years ago and I read each character in a different voice with all the accents and all and *I* got *totally* into it. LOL. Imagine that. Anyway she and I still share a very special bond over that book and I think you'd like the book too. They made a movie out of it which I thougt was good too but not near as good as the book. But when are they really? LOL. Cicely Tyson (who I really like) and Dave Matthews (who I wasn't really into until *after* I saw him in the movie), Jeff Daniels and Eva Marie Saint are the familiar faces in the movie. Hang on a sec. Here is a link re the movie: http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ ct/0763616052/102-3281039-7250520?v=glance&n=283155 And here is a link for the book. http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ ct/0763616052/102-3281039-7250520?v=glance&n=283155 Back on Topic: don't you think the way Tall does all that V=Visual I=Interview GR=Graphic SB=Sound Byte stuff so cool? Especially knowing that he has to do all that superfast. LOL. That impresses me. I don't know why but it does. LOL

Out where the three of us live there is very little crime. We live in the burbs. Swimming pools, movie stars! I couldn't resist (smile). Its very nice out here in the burbs. We have mountains, lakes and great southern hospitality!!!! Just ask Trailsend! As for Publix, as Trailsend said they are an incredilbe grocery store. The only ones better I have ever found are Ucrops in Virginia. Publix has incredible fried chicken and they won an award with their coconut creme pie. I was there yesterday as well. I'm ready for a meet anywhere, anytime. Even Publix.

The produce is wonderful, and the Deli and Meats are super-duper-alley-ooper. Some high-brow wannabees shop at Kroger or maybe Kroger is more convenient for some people, but AS A FORMER KROGER EMPLOYEE I fully understand the big picture and I honestly cannot come up with ANY SINGLE reason for shopping at Kroger over Publix...other than the fact that Kroger stores are open 24 hours a day and they have MORE choices brand wise. But that is about it IMHO. Okokok Trails and Tom, when are we going to get together and meet huh? While I am still alive would be good.
