I dealt with many difficult people and I really, really wished I could pull out the taser on more than one occasion.

If I wake up in the middle of the night from a dream or to go to the bathroom I can be back asleep again inside of 30 seconds. I was not always able to do this; it was a wonderful side effect of my 'bed-floating'. During vacation one year it was raining outside and not much to do so I went inside the cabin and lay on the bed. I decided that to really relax I would try to drive every thought from my mind. That is easier said than done. But after enough tries I got really good at completely emptying my mind... even getting rid of the thought that I was trying to get rid of thoughts. It was really cool having a totally blank mind. It almost felt like I was floating a couple of feet over the bed, hence the term 'bed-floating'. I decided this would also be a really great way to go to sleep, and it is. I just concentrate on clearing my mind and I am asleep almost instantly.

Mr. "EXTREMELY Good at Engineering" may be way less valuable to an employer than Mr. "Very Good at Engineering and Also Speaks Spanish." If I were a technology company, I would salivate over the opportunity to hire someone who was a decent technician AND a good problem solver AND decent at dealing with people. That combination is rare. It's the same in personal life. How long does a couple stay together when they married just because each partner is incredibly good-looking? That wears off. People stay together and in love because each of them scores well on a number of more important dimensions. You're smart, you're considerate, you're non-judgemental, you're creative and fun, you're honest. You're a catch. [And not to sound like I'm lecturing, but... I think you're selling yourself short on your talents. As you admit, you have a way with technological equipment. And, despite your own criticism, you're a great photographer.]
