For the record... I agree that there are some changes that have not been for the better *or* some changes I would not like to see. (Like if the castle was replaced by a big inflateable clown... see? That would be bad. I'd probably be upset by that.) But to be honest *if* this refurb takes place as its been described so far, it doesn't sound terrible. It sound like we could get some cool stuff. It *might* suck. But I'd rather be optomistic.

Quit your whining. Have a true discussion with me and maybe I'd agree with you. Right now you just annoy me.

To quote Daffy Duck " IT IS TO LAUGH"

Bears was the Vacation Hoedown which was NOT uniamouse in its love among fans. Bears attendance had dropped off DRAMATICALLY, and Pressler was hell ben on killin it. AMerica Sings? Please? DIsney fans did not start realzing the IMPORTANCE of attraction history till Capy. Nemo bit the dust at MK in '94. Thats when' attraction protest' began.
PPLMOVER, we AAAAAAL thought that was gonna be an imrovement. A semi thrill ride using same concept but zipier and COOL!!! RIGHT? Right.........??

Perhaps more people complained about that because more people thought it was a really bad idea.

I don't think anyone is telling you that you *have* to like the idea of POTC getting this refurb. I think people are trying to tell you that they don't need you to decide for them what is a bad thing and what they need to get upset over.

When my wife and I first experienced the DL POTC we both remarked on how the movie related to it much better than to the WDW Pirates. This upgrade is just adding a bit more emphasis to what already exists.

Disneyland is not a museum. We don't need POTC to remain unchanged as a tribute to Walt. The entire park is a tribute to Walt, and a testament to his stated belief that the park would never be "completed".

At least you don't have to listen to the opinions of those who say they like the idea, ever again.

If anyone likes the idea it means they are ignorant, and not able to understand or appreciate the finer things in life.

Keep a mental record of their names, and you will notice they are the parasites, who never come up with any ideas on their own. Instead you'll find these same people continually steal others ideas, or try to impose themselves on others ideas and their art.

Write them off as far as having any credence in your life ever again.

They are losers, and don't waste your time talking to them or explaining things to them anymore, just cut them out. They are selfish children, who refuse to grow up.

Unless you want to keep talking to them of course, hee hee.

The fact is the park is so successful, and the crowds have re-materialized for the re-appreciation of Walt, and his 50 year old park.

Walt is so successful that only someone who has a prejudice against Disneyland would suggest changing Walt's actual creations, and especially now during the 50th.

You'll see that changes to Walt's legacy are only being suggested and coming from people, who are trying to justify their jobs, but ultimately show they have no imagination or ability to be working at a company that still claims to be able to come up with new ideas.

The people who came up with the Pirates changes must be fired immediately. They can not work at Disneyland anymore, they are destroyers of the Walt legacy, and the past that keeps drawing people to Disneyland.

There is no justification, especially not the brief sales of buttons and t-shirts for destroying a work of art by scik corporate people, who's only real job is supposed to be to protect, and keep the classic work of art functioning, and not imposing their creativity on it in any way.

They know they have a whole new park to be creative in. Yet they chose instead to impose themselves on someones already successful work of art.

Add another pirate if you want, add the awful boat from the movie but stick it in the background where it belongs. What kind of idiot would want to change the most well known, and loved scene of any attraction in the world, except those trying to show they have power, that they do not deserve to have.

Those people, who work at Disneyland, must be gotten rid of immediately. They are haters of creative beings, and can only create things that are embued with their own hateful prejudices, mostly against the same ideology that allowed these people to get educations, and their job at Disneyland in the first place.

This is not improvement, it is destruction plain and simple.

I am stunned at the lack of taste, and the lack of imagination, that these pathetics have come up with to not only a classic american art form, but the ORIGINAL work of art, itself.

If anything, the work of art called, Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, at Disneyland, should be put back as closely as possible to the way it was when it first opened in 1968.

Only ignorant people would think otherwise.

The idea of putting a mustache on the mona lisa and then claiming the painting as your own disgusts everyone, every child to every adult, except those that have no respect for themselves, or others.

"Oh we aren't drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa," said the idiot who wants to change Pirates, "we just want to change her smile a little."
