I've been through tons in the past 20 years now, since about the time I entered adulthood. Just a brief summary: When I was 18, my mom was diagnosed with very progressed breast cancer, goes through a radical mastectomy & chemo & radiation; then about a year later, Dad diagnosed with lung cancer and starts undergoing treatment, only to find out a month later that my mother's has now spread to her lungs (so I'm driving them to chemo appts TOGETHER); then about a year later my dad dies from it; then my favorite uncle dies from cancer, as well; then his wife (my favorite aunt) spends a year paralyzed from strokes and then dies; then my cousin gets hit by a car and dies; then his brother dies from a drug overdose; a year later my favorite brother gets hit by a car and ends up severly disabled (think vegetable, basically) - so that's an ongoing worry/stress that has never let up; then my mother starts having strokes & suffers from rheumatoid arthritis & glaucoma & cataracts and has a bunch of surgeries; then I get divorced and am a single mom to a toddler; then I get remarried; then a month later my only sister kills herself; then my father-in-law undergoes multiple heart surgeries; my daughter is born a year later; then my mother has heart attacks and pneumonia and congestive heart failure and is hopsitalized off and on for months, and then dies during surgery when my daughter was 18 mos old; then my one other remaining brother almost dies and has to undergo brain surgeries, plus he's schizophrenic and depends on me for support (both emotional & financial); and all the while I am trying to raise two small children and work outside th home full-time! AND my husband had a heart attack shortly before I met him (at age 34) so I worry every day about HIS heart! Sorry if I made you dizzy with all that! I am just saying that sometimes I wonder how much more I can take - you know? It has literally been one thing after the next, my entire adult life. I know you can relate!!! Also, I learned long ago NEVER to ask, "What else could possibly go wrong?" because IT WILL. LOL ((((HUGS)))) to you. Things have got to get brighter, right??? RIGHT?!?

I am glad to see that things seem okay with you Lulu. And I agree, I would not have guessed that you are anywhere near 50. Wish I was going to be in SoCal this weekend so I could wish you a Happy Birthday in person. Hunting for 50 Mickey's? hmm, intriguing.

I touched it and thought "Huh, I'll take a closer look after my bath". So I get in the tub, I'm looking down to settle myself in the water for some nice relaxin' clean time, when I hear this big bump and then a shattering *CRASH!!* I froze for a second, saw I was okay, looked outside the tub, and see the picture had fallen on top of the tank, ricocheted off the side of the tub (there was a little chunk of tub-material out of the outside), and shattered glass all over the floor. So much for my relaxing bath. lol No glass got on me or in the tub thank goodness, but it was still such a shock to hear and see all the glass everywhere. I went ahaead and had my "unnerved bath" and just when I was finishing up and telling myself to be really careful when stepping onto the bathmat, a freaking hair gets into my eye. So now my contact is flipping out on me and I can't see straight. "Great". lol I made the most of it and got out okay, and no glass was on/in my big Pluto houseshoes either, yay. I didn't step on any, but it's not fun taking out a contact and touching your eyeball repeatedly to get a HAIR out of it (ick). I finally managed it well enough. Later I carefully picked up all the big and semi-small pieces of glass, swept together all the slivers and shards, and the next night I got the ingenius idea of usin' the vacuum to vacuum up all them li'l glass suckers. It worked like a charm. Funny, we all have glass everywhere, and don't give a second thought to how dangerous and fragile it can be, lol.

The people that work for the Home Depot line were VERY difficult to deal with. But they did finally come thru!
