I think above all you just hit on the biggest reason I can still go to WDW and have a great time after all these years.

Commando is for tourists, crazy people and fanbois.

I agree wholeheartedly Spirit. I love just taking my time and enjoying the parks at a slow pace. If I miss something, I'll see it the next time I visit. For me, WDW is first and foremost a vacation. Running around the parks like my hair is on fire in order to see every little thing is the furthest thing from that, IMHO.

    Or any similar venue.

One nice thing which has happened - especially since my daughter has been working there - is that I no longer feel I need to do ANYTHING at all each visit, knowing that I will be back often. (Okay, being passed in to the parks doesn't hurt at all either. No "must get my money's worth" mentality.)

When we have stayed at the French Quarter I would always get a water view for that reason. I loved sitting outside the room watching the boats go by all lit up at night time.

I also use to love going over to the frog fountain, and relaxing.

Good spot. My wife and I have been doing that for years. We really get mad if those rocking chairs are taken. It's like "How dare those people sit in our chairs?"
