The bus stops, both at the hotels and at the parks, are usually MUCH more convenient than the parking lots. I only use my car when going off-site or from one WDW hotel to another to save having to transfer at Downtown Disney. The exceptions to this are at the Fort Wilderness Cabins where you park immediately outside your door, and at Old Key West and Saratoga Springs where you can usually park very close to your room.
