The only thing I can go on is my own experience. I always give every restaurant 3 chances before I throw in the towel. Now I did make an exception with the Norwegian place back when it was a regular buffet. The service was great, and the folks there were some of the nicest, most friendly we've met at WDW. My wife and I found the food absolutely horrible though. We still laugh, and joke about it. and I think that was about 8 years ago, so I guess it was worth the $50. We went there after I read so many positive reports on it. Evidently other people liked it we did not. I understand that completely. I also think some people are just overcome by being at WDW, and things seem better than they really are. I know you don't fall into that category nor do I think most everyone else that post here feels that way either. Now like Dave I didn't eat at the Cali Grill are Artist Point this last trip either. I sure wish we had it might have been enough to overcome my numerous negative dining experiences lately. I'm really not a negative person, and maybe my hatred of the DDP has made me to bias. I just don't enjoy most meals there like I did in the past. >> Also, I am talking about my last visit, it was one of the better dining experiences. That said we had a number of disappointing ones at WDW last time (and on this trip did not experience California Grill or Artist Point). Nine Dragon's may not be the best restaurant at WDW or have the most different food. But in terms of portions, quality and service, it was honestly one of the best of the 14 TS we went to beating many of the others << I agree Dave Nine Dragons was the best meal we had last trip. It has received a number of bad reviews, however we have never had a bad meal there. I really thought I would never say this, but WDW will be getting the same amount from us that they will be getting from you. Maybe taking a break will rejuvenate me.

But not withstanding the time reference, I would like to note that Le Cellier is one of the only restaurants in all of WDW that it is mostly completely unavailable for same-day reservations for lunch. We normally make reservations on the drive to the world from home (1 hour trip), and Le Cellier is pretty much the only one we can't get into. Time and time again, it's none available. We can pretty much get into every other one on property (don't do Japan, not on DDE), sometime within our timeframe, but this one is the one that regularly shuts us out. So in my mind this is a very good indication that a lot of people are going to the restaurant. Last time we went (lunch of course), the food was good, and the waiter was excellent. Would (and do try to) go there again.

The menu has shrank (as have a LOT of places since we were last at WDW) but we were able to order a nice meal and the service was very good. The savory beef was the winner of the meal, and this all with us playing "ADR roulette" with the cocierge desk (we asked for a PS for dinner around Epcot as we had some shopping to do). We also tried the new sit down restaurants at Japan. We were able to get seated relatively promptly at Teppen Edo and had a WONDERFUL meal there and then the next day we tried Tokyo Dining for lunh and had another WONDERFUL (and very filling!!) meal. I can't wait to go back to the Japan pavillion next time we are there (and oh, btw.. I don't eat fish so I had no trouble finding food that I could order off the menu). We didn't eat at Octoberfest this time, but we were there for Food & Wine Fest and always found something really yummy at one of the booths. Argentina & Spain were two of our favorites, and you could get a small sample of the cheese soup at Canada.. they don't have the pretzel breadsticks though, you have to go to Le Cellier for that. =)

I won't order soup anymore, since the portion can be so small for the price. Teppan Edo is wonderful, and I do want to try Tokyo Dining. Le Cellier is always booked up 6 months out, but it's because it is a steakhouse with very high value for the dining plan. The chefs have changed, and hopefully everything is getting less salty. When I posted elsewhere about my meal, a lot of other people mentioned that they had too much salt added to their steaks, to their risotto, etc. And others haven't had a problem. But I won't eat there until I feel it's gotten back to a little more normal. Denise

The food, the drinks, the waitress, the hosts were all excelent. What completed my experience, was when I left my backpack there, when we got back there to get it they had it waiting for me right in the front of the resturaunt and they we're really nice about it too.

My server and the one at the next table during my first meal left something to be desired. The one we had for the second meal was excellent, one of the best waiters I've had on Disney property.

Turns out our server at Le Cellier only charged us for 1 adult meal even though we had 3 adults at our table. My wife called to let them know, we didn't want our server to get screwed on any tip. We also ate at Teppan Edo and had a great meal. We sat with a young couple on their honeymoon and joked that any thought of them having kids right away would be ruled by the end of dinner with our 2 sons.

Do you really like the decor or something?

It took a while, but we did - and I have been every few years or so. It's not a favorite restaurant, but it has been solid each time. Denise
